Jörg Koch

Jörg Koch (born July 7, 1968 in Limburg (Lahn) ) is a German historian and local researcher .

Life

After high school at Worms Rudi-Stephan-school he started in 1989 a study of the science of history , political science , German literature and pedagogy at the Universities of Bielefeld and Mannheim , where he in 2002 with a thesis on "The request concert in Nazi broadcasting" doctorate was.

Since 1998 he has published numerous books on historical and local history topics. In 2015 he initiated the restoration of the Worms Bismarck memorial in the Heylshof Park, which had been in a magazine for many years .

Koch is senior teacher for the subjects German, history and social studies at the Karolinen-Gymnasium Frankenthal . He is a member of the CDU , which he has represented on the Worms city council since 2014 . He has also been chairman of the Worms district association of the European Union Germany since 2010 and has been a member of the board of the Worms antiquity association since 2009 .
