Jörgen Brink starts as a cross-country skier for Hudiksvalls IF, later for IFK Umeå and as a biathlete for Club Jämtland Biathlon. Brink has been participating in the cross-country skiing world cup since the 1994/95 season and in 2003 he won his only 30 km world cup race in Otepää , overall he was placed in the top three six times in world cup races . In his most successful season, the 2002/03 season , he won bronze at the World Championships in Val di Fiemme in the skiathlon over 2 × 10 km and in the competition over 50 km and was seventh over 30 km. He took part in the Olympic Games in 2002 and 2006 as a cross-country skier; his best finish was 24th in the Salt Lake City sprint .
At the Swedish championships he won the sprint in 2003, came second twice (2003 in the skiathlon and 2004 in the sprint) and once third (2003 over 10 km) - at the national biathlon championships he surprisingly came second behind Björn Ferry in 2007 and started from 2007/08 season with the biathlon team in the World Cup. His best placement was fifth in the sprint in Vancouver 2009. For the Olympic Games in Vancouver 2010 , Brink was not considered as a biathlete after he was unable to stabilize his shooting performance. He then concentrated again on cross-country skiing and surprisingly won the Wasalauf 2010. A year later, he was able to win this race again. In 2012, he won the race for the third time in a row in the new record time of 3.38.41. Also in 2012 he won the Tartu Maraton . After the 2009/2010 season , Brink was deleted from the national team for biathletes.
