Jörn Reuss

Jörn Reuss (* 12. July 1968 in Berlin ) is a former German professional - cyclist .

Athletic career

Like almost all road drivers in the GDR, Reuss started as a young driver on the Werner-Seelenbinder-Halle in Berlin. There he won the "International Two-Team Championship" in 1989 with Christian Jäger as a partner. As an amateur, Jörn Reuss won the Saxony Tour in 1992 . In 1992 he finished second in the overall standings of the Bohemia Tour , in 1994 he won around the Sachsenring and took third place in the Tour of Hawaii . In 1995 he was the first of the Rhineland-Palatinate Tour . In 1999 he won the Saxony tour a second time. In 1997 he joined the professionals. In 2002 he became German mountain champion. In 2003 he ended his cycling career as a professional, but is still active in Masters races. In 2011 and 2013 he was German road champion in this class, vice European champion in the individual time trial and won the Velothon Berlin for every man over 120 kilometers.
