Robert Retschke (born December 17, 1980 in Bernau near Berlin , GDR ) is a German racing cyclist .

Athletic career

Robert Retschke began his cycling career in 2003 with the cycling team Vermarc Sportswear and in the next few years mostly drove for smaller teams. He was a member of a UCI Professional Continental team twice : in 2006 and 2007 the Wiesenhof team and in 2011 the NetApp team .

Retschke achieved his greatest successes on the road in 2005. He became German mountain champion , won the one-day races Cologne-Schuld-Frechen and Rund um Düren and finished ninth in Rund um Köln . He won the German Mountain Championships two more times in 2006 and 2010 .

On the track , Retschke dedicated himself to the standing race and was third in the German championships in 2012 and 2013. In 2014 Retschke became a silver medalist at the German Standing Championships.
