Júlio Endi Akamine SAC (born November 20, 1962 in Garça ) is a Brazilian religious and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Sorocaba .

Life

Júlio Endi Akamine joined the order of the Pallottines , made his profession on December 8, 1980 and was ordained a priest on January 24, 1988 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on May 4, 2011 auxiliary bishop in São Paulo and titular bishop of Thagamuta . The Archbishop of São Paulo, Odilo Pedro Cardinal Scherer , donated him episcopal ordination on July 9 of the same year ; Co - consecrators were Edmar Peron , Auxiliary Bishop in São Paulo, and Tarcísio Scaramussa SDB , Auxiliary Bishop in São Paulo. As a motto he chose Bonum Facientes Infatigabiles .

Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Sorocaba on December 28, 2016. The inauguration took place on February 25 of the following year.
