Jewish cemetery (Fell)

The Jewish cemetery in Fell in the district of Trier-Saarburg in Rhineland-Palatinate was the burial place of the Jewish citizens of the community. It is included in the list of monuments of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate as a monument zone .

The cemetery was created in the 18th century southwest of the village. It is now surrounded by new buildings. The 18 preserved tombstones are mostly made of red sandstone in a simple form. Most of them date from the 19th century, the oldest preserved from 1799, the youngest from 1935. Many of the mostly Hebrew inscriptions are difficult to read due to weathering .

The cemetery was renovated in 2011 with funds from the municipality and the Supervision and Service Directorate (ADD) Trier. The cemetery wall was renovated and the cemetery was equipped with a new wrought iron gate.
