The 779 m² fenced Jewish cemetery is located north of the town north of Schlüchterner Straße between the K 987 district road (Hanauer Landstraße) and the A 66 to the east .

The cemetery was probably only laid out in the second half of the 19th century, before the community seems to have shared the Jewish cemetery in Eckardroth . Today only two tombstones are preserved, which were put up again after 1945.

In the middle of the cemetery is a memorial stone with the names of the Jewish men and women who died in Salmünster. The text of the memorial stone reads:

In memory of the deceased Jewish fellow citizens. Stern Samuel 1863-1923 - Neuhaus Michael 1850-1925 - Grünebaum Moses 1871-1920 - Stern Karlmann 1858-1931 - Grünebaum Sophie 1917-1932 - Stern Johanna geb. Plaut 1863-1933 - Hess Sabine b. Grünebaum 1869-1935 - Let your soul be integrated into the bond of life .
