Jack Riley (actor)
Jack Riley (born December 30, 1935 in Cleveland , Ohio - † August 19, 2016 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American voice actor and actor .
Life
Riley attended John Carroll University and did his military service in the United States Army from 1958 . After retiring from the military, he worked for a radio station in Cleveland as a presenter of a comedy show for several years . In 1962 he played a minor supporting role in Blake Edwards ' The Days of Wine and Roses . As a result, he gave up radio engagement in the mid-1960s and moved to Los Angeles. He received a recurring role on the sitcom Occasional Wife and several guest roles on television series. In 1970 he starred in the anti-war film Catch-22 - The Evil Trickand in the following years was a guest in a variety of series such as MASH , Cannon and Columbo . From 1972 to 1978 he played the role of Elliot Carlin in 76 episodes on The Bob Newhart Show . In 1976 he starred in Mel Brooks' Last Madness: Silent Movie for the first time in a film by Mel Brooks ; he was then cast in the following three films by Brooks and starred alongside this in to be or not to be . He also had a small role in the B-movie - the cult film Attack of the Killer Tomatoes . Also in the 1980s and 1990s he starred in successful series such as Simon & Simon and ALF as well as A Terribly Nice Family and Baywatch - The Lifeguards of Malibu .
Since 1991 he has spoken in the animated series Rugrats , the films based on it and the spin-off All Grown Up - Almost Grown the Voice of Stu Pickles .
Riley had been married since 1970 and had two children.
