Jack Säuberli (born December 6, 1947 in Möriken-Wildegg ) is a Swiss composer , arranger , music producer , graphic artist and music publisher . He uses the pseudonyms Karel Neuhaus , Giaco Pulito , Ivan Petrof and John Clean .

Life

Säuberli is a music all-rounder who works in many branches of music (classical, folk, brass music and jazz). He was already leading an orchestra when he was 15. He was a member and saxophonist of the Zurich band New Five and at that time worked with American soloists such as Othella Dallas and Moses Lamarr. Then he founded the "Jack's Ballroom Band", from whose ranks some young talents have made their way to well-known professional and jazz musicians.

With the production Klezmer For Brass'N'Wood , Säuberli has produced a globally acclaimed production with Klezmer themes for large symphonic wind orchestras . Together with musicians from the Russian Chamber Philharmonic in St. Petersburg and many other outstanding musicians (mostly with a Jewish background), ten works for wind orchestra were created in 2003 . This orchestra also works with soloists such as Giora Feidman , Sergei Nakariakov and Mischa Maisky . As a trained graphic artist, he has designed well over 1000 record and CD covers for many formations and music publishers. As an illustrator , he drew children's books in collaboration with the actor Dietmar Schönherr and illustrated Die Sieben Schwaben anew. He illustrated for newspapers and magazines such as Blick , SonntagsBlick , Annabelle and designed books for well-known book publishers such as B. AT Verlag .
