The Fahrbühl hunting lodge

The Fahrbühl hunting lodge is hidden in a large forest area between the Großer and Kleiner Kornberg near Dörflas in the municipality of Kirchenlamitz in Upper Franconia .

history

The Fahrbühl settlement belonged to the Schwarzenbach an der Saale estate , which had been in the hands of the counts and later princes of Schönburg since 1706 . After the fire in the castle in Bug near Weißdorf , Prince Karl Ernst von Schönburg-Waldenburg (1836–1915) built a simple hunting lodge in Fahrbühl in 1886, where he and his family liked to spend the summer months. Today the Fahrbühl hunting lodge serves as a hotel. The hotel, which is run as a family business, has a 10,000 m² natural park outside and the former forester's house, which has been converted into a stable with a riding hall.
