Jakob Rüdiger von Zastrow

Jakob Rüdiger von Zastrow (* 1707 in Reinfeld in the Rummelsburg district ; † March 30, 1782 in Königsberg , East Prussia ) was a royal Prussian officer, most recently in the rank of major general .

family

Jakob Rüdiger von Zastrow came from the Zastrow family , he was the second son of Rüdiger von Zastrow (1644–1717), heir to Reinfeld and Kolziglow and Eva von Massow . He was married to Louise Elisabeth Freiin von Blankenburg († after 1788) since 1755 . His marriage was childless.

Life

Zastrow began his career in 1723 as a cadet and in 1726 came under Infantry Regiment No. 13 ( von Dönhoff ) as a Junker. In 1732 he became ensign , 1742 second lieutenant , 1746 captain . As such, he took part in the battle of Lobositz and received the order Pour le Mérite for his service in 1756 . In 1758 he was promoted to major and in 1762 he was transferred to the Grenadier Guard Battalion in Infantry Regiment No. 6 ( v. Saldern ). There he became commander in 1763, lieutenant colonel in 1765 and colonel in 1767 . In this rank he received the infantry regiment No. 11 in Königsberg from the king on June 30, 1776 . In 1777 he was promoted to major general. He took part in numerous battles during the Seven Years' War .

As early as 1755 the king gave him the office of governor of Linum, as well as the Drostenstelle of Lühnen and Hörde in the county of Mark .

Zastrow was buried on April 3rd.
