James Patrick Keleher
James Patrick Keleher (born July 31, 1931 in Chicago ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and senior archbishop of Kansas City .
Life
The Archbishop of Chicago , Samuel Alphonsius Cardinal Stritch , ordained him a priest on April 12, 1958 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Belleville on October 20, 1984 . The Archbishop of Chicago, Joseph Louis Cardinal Bernardin , donated him episcopal ordination on December 11 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were William Michael Cosgrove , Old Bishop of Belleville, and Thomas Joseph Murphy , Bishop of Great Falls .
He was named Archbishop of Kansas City on June 28, 1993 and inducted into office on September 8 of the same year. He resigned from his office on January 15, 2005.
