Jan Andreesen
Jan Andreesen (* 1980 in Wilhelmshaven ) is a German actor and voice actor .
Life
Jan Andreesen grew up in Jever in East Frisia . He did his community service at a school for behavioral children in Jever and then studied media studies for a few semesters at the University of Paderborn . In the university student theater there, he took on the title role in Albert Camus ' play Caligula .
He completed his acting studies from 2003 to 2007 at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig . During his training he already appeared in several productions at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden , where he a. a. Sebastian, the alter ego of the author Klaus Mann , played in a stage version of the Mephisto novel and the aviator Sun in Brecht's The Good Man of Sezuan .
After completing his training, he received his first permanent engagement for two years at the Theater Bielefeld from the 2007/08 season . There he stepped u. a. as servant Jean in Miss Julie , played in a Brecht play and appeared on stage in several literary and film adaptations. In the 2010/11 season he was at the Stadttheater Heidelberg , where he made his debut in the role of the angry young brother Cal in a stage version of Jenseits von Eden . He also played the older son Biff in Death of a Salesman , Yilmaz in Gegen die Wand and Sascha, one of the village punks , in the production of the same name based on the novel by Rocko Schamoni .
From the 2011/12 season until the end of the 2015/16 season Jan Andreesen was a permanent member of the ensemble in the theater of the Staatstheater Karlsruhe . After leaving, he continued to work there with a guest contract. Andreesen played numerous roles in the classical and modern theater repertoire in Karlsruhe, including a. the title role in Philotas von Lessing (season 2011/12), St. Just in Dantons Tod (2012–2018), Felix in Der einsame Weg (season 2013/14), Mick in topping-out ceremony by Lutz Hübner (2012–2018), Albert in The Sorrows of Young Werther (2013-2018), Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream (2014/15 season) and Lieutenant Tusenbach in Three Sisters (2015/16 season). In the 2013/14 season he embodied the singer and musician Rio Reiser in the musical biography Rio Reiser - King of Germany by Heiner Kondschak .
Andreesen had other theater engagements at the Osnabrück Theater (2017/18) and at the House of World Cultures in Berlin .
Andreesen was often in front of the camera in smaller roles for film and television productions. In the fairy tale film The Devil with the Three Golden Hairs (2013) he played the insurgent Armin at the side of Robert Besta . In the ZDF three-part honey women (2017) he was the west tourist Jochen, who is on vacation at Lake Balaton . He had episode roles in the ZDF series Die Rosenheimcops (2007, as a suspect jealous friend Max Boettner) and SOKO Leipzig (2019, as the drug dealer René Makowski who was shot). In the 2nd season of the early evening series Die Heiland - Wir sind Anwalt (2020) he took on one of the episode roles as the ex-boyfriend of a young French woman who is looking for her son, who allegedly died as a baby in childbirth.
He also works as a radio play speaker and is intensively active as a voice actor. He lent his voice u. a. Shazad Latif in the TV series The Dark Crystal: Era of Resistance and speaking characters in the series Good Omens and The Rookie .
Jan Andreesen lives in Berlin.
