Janet Kidder
Janet Kidder (born around 1972 in Toronto , Ontario , or in Cranbrook , British Columbia ) is a Canadian actress .
Life and accomplishments
Kidder was born in Canada. She lived in England with her mother until her late teens , then returned to Canada. She is a medalist as a gymnast and has the yellow belt in Taekwondo . She is the niece of actress Margot Kidder , best known as Lois Lane in the Superman films starring Christopher Reeve . As a child, Janet Kidder wanted to become an actress and spent time on the set of Superman . She was seen in retrospect as a young Roberta in an episode of the dramatic agent series Nikita . Margot Kidder played the older Roberta , mother of the main character, played by Peta Wilson in this episode . In another episode, Janet Kidder was the agent Vizcano in a guest role. She can be seen in supporting roles in the horror film Chucky and his bride (1998) with Jennifer Tilly and in the science fiction thriller XChange (2000) with Stephen Baldwin . In addition to her work in film and television, she also appears in the theater. After six years in the film business, she decided to go to law , but then got the female lead in the dramatic crime series Tom Stone , in which she appeared as a police officer in over twenty episodes. In 2002 Kidder was nominated for an episode of this television series for the Gemini Award for best leading actress in a dramatic role.
