Jenkins first attended the University of Florida and played college football for their team, the Florida Gators , with great success between 2008 and 2010 , so he was even able to win the national championship with his team in 2008 . NFL

St. Louis Rams

In the 2013 NFL Draft , he was selected in the 2nd round as 39th overall by the St. Louis Rams . He was able to establish himself immediately as a professional and was used in 15 games in his rookie season, 14 times even as a starter , with four interceptions and three defensive touchdowns. He also appeared in the special teams as a punt returner . In the following seasons he showed consistently good performances and became one of the pillars of the Rams defense.

New York Giants

In March 2016, Jenkins joined the New York Giants , where he was awarded a six-year contract worth $ 62.5 million, 28.8 of which was guaranteed, and received a ten million signing bonus . He also played at a consistently high level with his new team, for which he was appointed to the Pro Bowl for the first time . He started the 2017 season as strong as usual, but had to be put on the injured reserve list at the end of November due to an ankle injury that subsequently required an operation . He also performed consistently well in the following two seasons.
In December 2019, however, Jenkins was fired after calling a critical fan on Twitter as retard (meaning: mentally retarded, idiot).

New Orleans Saints

Shortly thereafter, the New Orleans Saints signed him.
In the game against the Carolina Panthers , the second for the Saints, he managed the first interception for his new team.
