Jared Cunningham (born May 22, 1991 in Oakland , California ) is an American basketball player who played in the North American professional league National Basketball Association (NBA) from 2012 to 2016 . From 2017 to 2018 he was part of the FC Bayern Munich basketball team and won the championship and cup double. He has been part of the Basket Brescia Leonessa squad since the end of November 2018 .
Career
college
Cunningham played at Oregon State University for a total of three years and increased his stats from 6.2 points, 2 rebounds and 0.9 assists in the freshman year to a total of 17.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2 , 53 improve steals.
NBA
After his college career, Cunningham signed up for the 2012 NBA Draft , where he was recruited in the first round in 24th place by the Cleveland Cavaliers . On the same evening he was transferred to the Dallas Mavericks together with those of Jae Crowder and Bernard James in exchange for Kelenna Azubuike and Tyler Zeller . On July 21, 2012, he officially signed his rookie contract. In the summer of 2013 he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks . He was released by the Hawks on February 22, 2014 and signed by the Sacramento Kings a month later until the end of the season.
In the 2014-15 season , Cunningham first played for the Los Angeles Clippers and was eventually traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in early January . He was not used there and played the rest of the season in the D-League for the Delaware 87ers . In the summer of 2015 he moved to the Cleveland Cavaliers . However, he was released after half a year. After a brief stint at the Milwaukee Bucks , he returned to the Idaho Stampede in March 2016.
