NBA
In the 2012 NBA draft he was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers at the beginning of the second round and transferred to the Dallas Mavericks in a trade that same evening . On July 20, 2012, he signed his rookie contract in Dallas. At times Crowder was used as a starter, where he was able to convince in phases. He also managed a 4-point game in his first year as a professional.
In December 2014, Crowder joined the Boston Celtics with Brandan Wright and Jameer Nelson in exchange for Rajon Rondo and Dwight Powell . At the Celtics he got a bigger role and he improved his individual stats to 9.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. In the summer of 2015, Crowder signed a $ 35 million, five-year deal with the Celtics. The next two seasons were Crowder's best. Crowder could not build on his performances from Boston times with the Cavs and was transferred six months later to the Utah Jazz, including for Rodney Hood . At Jazz, Crowder came off the bench as a noble reservist and achieved an average of 12 points and an average of 4.5 rebounds in 1½ years. However, he also had problems with throwing selection in the Jazz, so that during his time in the Jazz he had a hit rate of less than 40%.
In the summer of 2019 was Crowder in the course of transfer to Mike Conley, Jr. to the Memphis Grizzlies transferred. A few months later, Crowder was passed on to the Miami Heat in exchange for Justise Winslow .
