Tyler Herro (born January 20, 2000 in Milwaukee , Wisconsin ) is an American basketball player . He has been under contract with the Miami Heat since 2019 .

career

The Milwaukee- born herro played basketball at Whitnall High School in his hometown. In the 2017/18 season he scored 32.9 points per game for the school team. After moving to the University of Kentucky , he was a top performer there and was always in the starting line-up in his 37 missions in the 2018/19 season. Herro was the second best scorer in the team with a point average of 14 and with 60 converted three-point throws in this statistical category. In April 2019, he ended his university days prematurely in order to make the leap into the professional camp and enroll in the NBA draft process . He was selected 13th by the Miami Heat .
