Jarvis Charles Landry (* 28. November 1992 in Convent , Louisiana ) is an American American football poker players on the position of wide receiver . He currently plays for the Cleveland Browns in the National Football League (NFL).
Early years
Landry went to high school in Lutcher , Louisiana . He later attended Louisiana State University , where he made 77 passes for 1,193 yards , scoring ten touchdowns in his final season for the university's college football team .
NFL
Landry was selected 63rd in the second round in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins . On October 12, 2014, in the game against the Green Bay Packers , he scored his first touchdown for the franchise . He finished his rookie season with 758 captured yards and five touchdowns. He also scored 1,158 yards as a return specialist .
In the first game of his second season, on September 13, 2015 against the Washington Redskins , he scored his first touchdown after a punt . He finished the season with 1,157 captured yards (4 touchdowns). After the 2015 season , he was subsequently elected to the Pro Bowl for the injured Antonio Brown .
Landry caught 194 passes in his first two seasons in the NFL, which was an NFL record broken by Michael Thomas in 2017.
In the 2016 season , his third year in the league, Landry did well as usual for his team from Florida. He managed 1,136 yards and 4 touchdowns. For his consistently good performance, Landry was elected to the Pro Bowl for the second time.
On March 9, 2018, the Dolphins traded Landry for a four-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and a seven-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft with the Cleveland Browns .
Personal
Jarvis older brother Gerald played college football at Southern University , and his cousin Glenn Dorsey plays nose tackle for the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL.
His best friend is Odell Beckham Jr. , who has also played for the Browns since March 13, 2019.
