Jason Christie (born December 22, 1990 ) is a New Zealand track and road cyclist .

Athletic career

Jason Christie had his first international successes on the track: 2006 was New Zealand youth champion in the singles pursuit and in the road race. The following year he won the bronze medal in the points race at the junior track cycling world championships in Aguascalientes . He was also the Oceania champion in the junior team pursuit in 2007. In the 2008 season Christie was in the elite class Oceania champion in scratch . At the Junior World Championships in Cape Town , he won the bronze medal in the individual and in the team pursuit.

From 2011 Christie mainly drove races on the road, initially he was national U23 champion in the individual time trial . In 2012 he won bronze in the U23 road race at the Oceania Championships. In the following years he had several stage wins in tours and in 2015 he won the Tour de Okinawa . In 2016 and 2018 he was New Zealand road champion. At the Oceania Championships 2019 he was runner-up in road races and individual time trials.
