Heath Denyer Murray Blackgrove (born December 5, 1980 in Oamaru ) is a retired New Zealand cyclist .

Heath Blackgrove began cycling around the age of eleven, following his father's example. In 1998 he won four New Zealand junior titles, two on the road, in the individual time trial and in the road race, two on the track , in the points race and in the team pursuit . In the same year, he was twice named South Canterbury Sports Person of the Year , in the elite and in the junior category.

Heath Blackgrove became the New Zealand elite road racing champion for the first time in 2003. In 2004 he started at the Olympic Games in Athens and finished 32nd in the individual time trial, he did not finish the road race. He then went looking for a team in Europe and in 2005 drove for the Belgian Continental Team Jartazi Granville . From 2006 to 2008 he was under contract with the US Toyota-United Pro Cycling Team .

In 2009 Blackgrove won the Tour of Southland in his home country, which he himself describes as his “proudest moment”, and shortly afterwards he married his girlfriend. At that time he was already living in the USA, most recently in Austin , where he worked for various teams and mainly competed there.
