Jason Cipolla (born December 30, 1972 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player and current assistant coach of the San Antonio Rampage .

Career

Cipolla began his career in 1991 on the college team at Yale University in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . Here he was able to increase his points yield from year to year and was his team's top scorer in his fourth and final season.

In 1995, the left-shooter played his first professional game for the St. John's Maple Leafs in the American Hockey League , where he stayed until 1997. During this time he was also active for the South Carolina Stingrays in the East Coast Hockey League . His next stations were the Milwaukee Admirals from the International Hockey League and the Rochester Americans for two years each . In the 2001/02 season Cipolla played for the Manitoba Moose .

For the next season he moved to Europe and started this in the Finnish SM-liiga with Lukko Rauma . At the beginning of 2003 he switched to the German Ice Hockey League with the Iserlohn Roosters . He stayed here in the 2003/04 season before signing a contract with the Hannover Scorpions the next year . In 2006 Cipolla ended his career as a player.

From the 2007/08 season , Cipolla worked as an assistant coach for the Rochester Americans. For the 2011/12 season he was committed in the same position by the San Antonio Rampage .
