Javed Akhtar

Javed Akhtar (born January 17, 1945 in Gwalior , Madhya Pradesh ) is an Indian screenwriter , poet and songwriter of Hindi films .

Life

Akhtar wrote some of his most successful works in the late 1970s and 1980s with Salim Khan and Salim-Javed . He comes from a family of freedom fighters, he is great-great-grandson of Allama Fazl-e-Haq Khairabadi .

His son Farhan Akhtar is a well-known actor in Hindi films.
