Javier del Río Alba
Javier Augusto del Río Alba (born December 22, 1957 in Lima , Peru ) is Archbishop of Arequipa .
Life
Javier del Rio Alba received on 14 December 1983, the sacrament of holy orders and was in the clergy of the diocese of Callao incardinated . He belongs to the movement of the Neocatechumenal Way .
On 12 October 2004 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Phelbes and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Callao. Javier del Río Alba became Archbishop of Arequipa on October 21, 2006, succeeding José Paulino Ríos Reynoso , who resigned due to illness.

The episcopal motto "Surgite eamus" (lat .: "Get up, let's go!" Matthew 26.46 VUL ) is the Passion story taken.
