Javier Sierra
Javier Sierra ( Javier Sierra Albert ; born August 11, 1971 in Teruel ) is a Spanish journalist and writer who deals in particular with historical puzzles and parasciences .
life and work
From an early age, Sierra was fascinated by the world of communication. At the age of twelve he had his own radio show on Radio Heraldo , at 16 he wrote regularly for magazines and at 18 he was one of the founders of the magazine Año Cero . He studied information science at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid .
From 1998 to 2005 he was editor-in-chief of the monthly magazine Más Allá de la Ciencia , whose advisor he is still today. He is also involved in various radio and television programs. Sierra spends a lot of time traveling, researching puzzles of the past and historical mysteries.
Sierra works with Spanish as well as international experts, such as B. Graham Hancock and Robert Bauval to track down an alleged golden age of mankind. This golden age perished 10,500 years ago and was the origin of the civilizations that followed.
His novel The Secret Last Supper was published in 40 countries and became one of the greatest international successes in Spanish literature. With him he was the first Spanish writer to be included in the top ten of the New York Times bestseller list in March 2006 .
Sierra worked on the anthology Relatos Ferroviarios Sobre Raíles ( Imagine Ediciones , 2003), along with other writers such as Juan Eslava Galán , Dulce Chacón , Espido Freire , Javier García Sánchez and Eugenia Rico . He also gave the collection of novels La Cámara Secreta , the works of authors such as B. Christian Jacq , Philipp Vandenberg , Larry Collins , Valerio Evangelisti or Gérald Messadié , and provided them with a foreword.
In October 2017 Sierra received the Premio Planeta for his novel El fuego invisible ( The invisible fire ).
