Trivia

Jeep Honcho
  • Contrary to popular belief, Honcho was not the name of the big Jeep pickups after AMC took over the company from Kaiser-Jeep in 1963 . These were called Jeep Gladiator for a few years and were then simply known as "J-Series Pickups".
  • There were trim packages for many Jeep vehicles in the 1970s, including a package called the "Cherokee Chief" for the Jeep Cherokee . The “Golden Eagle” package mentioned above was also available for the CJ and Cherokee.
  • A yellow Jeep Honcho with blue trim was seen in the movie Twister (1996).
