Jekaterina Alexejewna Fesenko ( Russian Екатерина Алексеевна Фесенко ., English transcription Yekaterina Fesenko, married Grun - Грунь * 10. August 1958 in Krasnodar ) is a former Russian hurdler , referring to the 400-meter distance was dedicated and the Soviet Union took .

In 1980 she became the Soviet champion.

At the European Championships in Athens in 1982 she was seventh in 55.86 s. In 1983 she won gold over the 400 meter hurdles at the Universiade and in the 4 x 400 meter relay . At the World Championships in Helsinki she won in 54.14 s with a hundredth of a second ahead of her teammate Ana Ambrazienė , who had set the current world record in June of that year with 54.02 s.

After their marriage, starting under the name Grun, she won silver in the friendship competitions in 1984 .

Jekaterina Fessenko-Grun is 1.68 m tall and weighed 57 kg during her active time.
