Jennifer O'Neill
Jennifer Lee O'Neill (born February 20, 1948 in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil ) is an American film actress and model of Brazilian origin.
biography
Jennifer O'Neill is the daughter of Oscar O'Neill, of Irish American descent and an English mother. Her father flew a Boeing B-17 in World War II , was shot down over Germany, and survived a POW camp. After the war he traveled to England, where he married the Brazilian singer Carmen Miranda - Jennifer's stepmother.
Born in Brazil, O'Neill grew up in Connecticut . In a riding accident in 1963, she barely escaped paraplegia . Nevertheless, O'Neill is still a passionate horse lover to this day.
Shortly thereafter, the Connecticut family moved to New York City , where they began to gain experience in front of the camera as a model. In 1963 she signed CoverGirl (for a total of 30 years). There she attended the Dalton School in Manhattan . In 1965, at the age of 17, O'Neill married for the first time. The marriage produced a daughter.
In 1968 she made her film debut in Liebling on the side of Sidney Poitier . In 1971 their marriage ended in divorce and she remarried.
Her breakthrough had in 1970 with the John Wayne -Western Rio Lobo by Howard Hawks , their most tester film was the rotated in the same year melodrama Summer of '42 , where she is a young war widow embodies, in which a 15-year-old adolescent love. In 1985, Jennifer O'Neill played Valeria Messalina in the miniseries AD - Anno Domini .
O'Neill is said to have had a total of eight husbands (David Rossiter (1965–1971), Joseph Koster, Nicholas De Noia (1975–1976), Jeff Barry, John Lederer (1977–1983), James (1980s), Neil Bonin (1992 ) and Mervin Louque (1997)). She married one of them, Mervin Loque, a second time after being married again between the two marriages. According to this, O'Neill was married nine times. She has a daughter (first marriage) and two sons (fifth and sixth marriage).
O'Neill was the chair of the American Cancer Society for the Study of Cancer .
She now lives on a farm in Nashville , Tennessee with her current husband, Mervin Loque, whom she married a second time in 1997 .
