Jenniffer Kae [ ˈdʒenɪfə (r) ˈkeɪ ] (born June 1, 1987 ; actually Jenniffer-Marie Kästel ) is a German singer .
Life
Jenniffer Kästel comes from Königsau and is of semi- Filipino origin. She was born into a family of artists and came into contact with music and singing at a very early age. Her musical style combines soul , pop , R&B and gospel . The pop singer Laura Kästel is her younger sister.
In 2002 she took part in the casting show Teenstar and made it to the semifinals. In 2003 she appeared in the casting show Star Search (category Music Act from 10 to 15 years ) and was able to reach the semi-finals here too. As a member of Star Search - The Kids , she reached number five in the German charts with the single Smile in September 2003. The jointly recorded follow-up single Mother could not continue this success.
Its producer is Peter Hoffmann (known as the discoverer of the band Tokio Hotel ) in collaboration with the British producers Steve Chrisanthou , John Beck and Paul McKendrick. Her debut album Faithfully was made in Germany and Great Britain and was released in May 2008 by Warner Music / Starwatch . The first single called Little White Lies was released a week earlier.
In October 2008 the second single, Do You Love Me? , originally by the Swedish pop singer Amanda Jenssen . The song was used by Pro7 for the promotion of the TV series Pushing Daisies . In Germany, Kae entered the top 50. A club tour started at the end of October, where she performed in Cologne, Berlin and Hamburg, among others. From 2012 to 2013 she was on the jury of the casting show Dein Song on the TV channel KiKA . Kae also works as a background singer, for Johannes Oerding , Cro and Lena , among others .
In February 2019, Kaes' first German-language single Chamäleonmädchen was released . On May 17, 2019, after 11 years, their second and first German-language album Half 4 was released.
