Jerome Robinson (born February 22, 1997 in Raleigh , North Carolina ) is an American basketball player who is currently under contract with the Washington Wizards in the NBA .

career

Robinson played basketball and baseball at Needham B. Broughton High School in his hometown of Raleigh . In basketball, he recorded 19 points per game in his last season as a student (2014/15) and distributed five basket assists per match.

From 2015 to 2018 Robinson was on the college team at Boston College . He was already a top performer in his first year and achieved averages of 11.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 basket assists and 1.4 ball wins over the course of the 2015/16 game year. In the following two seasons he increased his points average over 18.7 in the 2016/17 season to 20.7 in his final junior year (2017/18). He showed himself to be an accurate distance thrower and hit 81 of his 198 attempts from beyond the triple line in 2017/18.

At the end of April 2018, his decision was made to forego a senior season at Boston College and instead switch to the professional camp. In June 2018, the Los Angeles Clippers selected Robinson in the first round in 13th place in the NBA draft process . After 75 missions for the Californians (3.1 points / game), he was handed over to the Washington Wizards in February 2020  .
