Troy Randall Brown Jr. (born July 28, 1999 in Las Vegas , Nevada ) is an American basketball player .

career

Brown's mother was on the track and field team and his father was on the basketball team at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. After attending Centennial High School in Las Vegas (US state Nevada ), Brown moved to the University of Oregon in 2017 and turned out to be an immediate addition to the university team. In the course of the 2017/18 season, the versatile winger was in the starting line-up in all of his 35 appearances and scored 11.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists on average. One of his weak points at Oregon was his distance throw, where he only hit 29 percent of his three-point throws.

In April 2018, Brown announced that he would be leaving the college team and moving to the NBA  . In the draft process in June 2018, the Washington Wizards secured the rights to Brown in the first selection round in 15th place.
