Jesper Tjäder (born May 22, 1994 in Östersund ) is a Swedish freestyle skier . He starts in the disciplines of slopestyle and big air .

Career

Tjäder has been participating in the AFP World Tour competitions since 2011. He achieved his first podium finish in August 2012 with second place in slopestyle at The North Face New Zealand Freeski Open in Snow Park . He made his World Cup debut in February 2012 in Jyväskylä , which he finished in eighth place in slopestyle. At the Freestyle Skiing World Championships 2013 in Voss he came in 54th place. In the 2013/14 season he reached third place in the overall World Cup and first place in the Slopestyle World Cup. He took second place in Breckenridge and Gstaad . In March 2014 he won his first World Cup victory in Silvaplana . In the same month he won the European Freeski Open in Laax . In his first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014 , he finished 24th. In the following season he came third at the SFR Freestyle Tour in Val Thorens , at the Total Fight in Grandvalira and at the Red Bull PlayStreets in Bad Gastein . In January 2015 he came in 11th place in slopestyle and fifth in Big Air at the Winter X Games 2015 in Aspen . In the 2015/16 season he was hit at Toyota One Wonder Big Air in Thredbo and in Slopestyle runner-up at the Total Fight in Grandvalira. At the X-Games Oslo 2016 , he finished 16th in Big Air. In April 2016, he became Swedish Champion in Slopestyle and Big Air. In the following season he was 12th in Slopestyle at the Winter X-Games 2017 Place and 14th place at the X-Games Norway 2017 in Hafjell . In the World Cup he finished in the top ten five times, including second place in the Slopestyle in Font Romeu and thus reached fourth place in the Slopestyle World Cup. At the Freestyle Skiing World Championships 2017 in Sierra Nevada , he achieved 12th place in slopestyle. The following year he finished 23rd in slopestyle at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . At the Winter X Games 2018 he came 12th in Slopestyle and 13th in Big Air at the X-Games Norway 2018 in Fornebu . In March 2018 he became Swedish Champion in Slopestyle.
