Jill Haworth

Valerie Jill Haworth (born August 15, 1945 in Hove , Sussex , England - † January 3, 2011 in New York City ) was a British actress .

Life

Haworth was born in England . Her father was a textile entrepreneur , her mother a trained ballet dancer . Haworth also received ballet training in her youth.

Haworth, petite and blonde, made her first film when she was fourteen: Otto Preminger's Exodus . After three films in France and further engagements with Preminger, she was part of the original cast of the musical Cabaret in 1966 , for which she was selected from 200 applicants, but initially received very muted reviews, but played the role en suite for almost two years . Following this stage experience, which remained her only role on Broadway , she starred in a number of horror films before she took on guest roles in numerous television series until the late 1970s. Since then she has hardly been seen.

Haworth lived in Manhattan , New York , since the mid-1960s .
