João Justino de Medeiros Silva
João Justino de Medeiros Silva (born December 22, 1966 in Juiz de Fora , Brazil ) is a Brazilian Roman Catholic clergyman and Archbishop of Montes Claros .
Life
João Justino de Medeiros Silva was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Juiz de Fora on December 13, 1992 .
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on December 21, 2011 auxiliary bishop in Belo Horizonte and titular bishop of Tullia . The Archbishop of Belo Horizonte, Walmor Oliveira de Azevedo , donated him episcopal ordination on February 11 of the following year ; Co- consecrators were Clóvis Frainer OFMCap , senior archbishop of Juiz de Fora, and Gil Antônio Moreira , archbishop of Juiz de Fora. As a motto he chose UT TESTIMONIUM DE LUMINE .
On 22 February 2017 Pope appointed him Francis to Koadjutorerzbischof of Montes Claros . With the resignation of José Alberto Moura on November 21, 2018, he succeeded him as Archbishop of Montes Claros.
