Jože Zidar (born September 7, 1927 in Jesenice , Kingdom of Yugoslavia , † December 25, 2012 ) was a Yugoslav ski jumper and later Slovenian journalist .

Career

Zidar started the first Four Hills Tournament in 1953 on the Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze in Bischofshofen . With the 20th place there he finally reached the 25th place in the tour's overall ranking.

At the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo , he reached 22nd place in individual jumping with jumps of 75 and 75 meters.

With the Four Hills Tournament in 1957/58 he played his last major international tournament. After he skipped the jumping in Oberstdorf , he reached 34th place on the Great Olympic Hill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . From the Bergiselschanze in Innsbruck he did not get past 41st place. He finished the tour with a 22nd place in Bischofshofen and thus finally in 43rd place in the overall tour.
