Joachim Ernst Sigismund von Krummensee (* 1656 ; † January 6, 1724 in Freienwalde ) was a Prussian major general .

Joachim Ernst Sigismund was a member of the Meissen - Brandenburg noble family Krummensee and son of the heir to Alt Landsberg and governor of Schwedt and Vierraden , Hilmar Ernst von Krummensee and his wife Anna Margarethe, née von der Dahme. He was married to Anna Sophie von Schwickel († 1725).

Career

Krummensee was in on 22 February 1656 Berlin Nikolai Church baptized . It was not until 1680 that he joined the Anhalt regiment on horseback and was cornet there in 1684 . He was promoted to lieutenant in 1686 and Rittmeister on September 26, 1694 , and as such took part in the campaign against France from 1702 onwards . Even before starting the war he was on July 14, 1705 to Major , on January 23, 1706 to lieutenant colonel and on January 30, 1712 to Colonel promoted.

Along with Lieutenant General Derfflinger and Colonel Loeben, Krummensee was one of the three companions with whom King Friedrich Wilhelm retired to Wusterhausen Castle immediately after his accession to the throne on February 27, 1713 .

On March 28, 1717 Krummensee became commander of the cuirassier regiment No. 1, but gave up the commanding post on May 11, 1720 and dimitted on August 12, 1720 with the rank of major general. Krummensee was the heir to Scharlibbe and governor of Freienwalde.
