Joachim Foerster (* 1989 in Erlangen ) is a German actor , musician and producer.

Life

education

Foerster comes from a family of lawyers , doctors and scientists . He originally wanted to become a professional boxer , but then gave up his sports career and opted for acting. After a successful audition, for which he prepared himself with a collection of theater monologues, he studied acting at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen / Bochum from 2009 to 2013 and graduated in 2013 with an acting diploma. During his studies he played his first theater roles at the Schauspielhaus Bochum .

From the 2013/14 season, Foerster was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Heilbronn Theater for two seasons . He played his first leading role there in November 2013 as a teenager Jojo in the revival of the two-person play The Heart of a Boxer by Lutz Huebner . In November 2013 he played Ludwig in the world premiere of the play Zweier ohne by Dirk Kurbjuweit at the Heilbronn Theater .

In 2016 he was a guest at the Volkstheater Wien as part of the Wiener Festwochen in the play Wirhund by SIGNA and Arthur Koestler. In the 2016/17 season he took on the role of Giselher in The Nibelungen in a production by Frank Behnke at the Münster Theater from September 2016 . He has been a member of the ensemble at Theater Münster since the 2017/18 season. He played the main role Brick in a production by Frank Behnke in the season opening in The Cat on a Hot Tin Roof . Foerster has also appeared in several roles in film and television. He already had his first roles here during his studies. He worked in diploma and short films at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy .
