Joachim Friedrich von Leckow

Joachim Friedrich von Leckow (* 1703 in Neumark ; † October 31, 1774 at Gut Lekow ) was a Prussian major general and commander of infantry regiment No. 2 .

Life

origin

His parents were Georg Adrian von Leckow (1663-1743) and his wife Eleonore, born von Weber from the house of Großesin. Some of his brothers were also in the military. Johann Georg was lieutenant colonel and commander of Fort Prussia on the Neisse, Friedrich Wilhelm was also lieutenant colonel and knight of the order Pour le Mérite and the founder of the line in Silesia. Christian Reinhardt (1705–1777) became the heir of Lekow and remained loyal to agriculture.

Military career

On January 26, 1726 , Leckow became an ensign in the "von Röder" infantry regiment, advanced to secondary lieutenant on May 26, 1733 and rose to colonel and regimental commander until December 1758 . He had already fought in the first two Silesian Wars .
