Johann Hubert Anton Forst

Johann Hubert Anton Forst (born February 17, 1756 in Berlin ; † August 8, 1823 there ) was a German porcelain painter for the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin .

Johann Hubert Anton Forst married Maria Sophie Charlotte Eckert (* 1757 , † 1824 ) on June 12 , 1778 . They had 6 children. One of his sons Johann Eusebius Anton Forst (* 1789 ) also became an outstanding porcelain painter for the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin .

education

On August 1, 1771 , at the age of 15, Forst became an apprentice at the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin . His trainer was the royal court painter Carl Wilhelm Böhme , active in Meißen, and since 1761 in Berlin . In 1795 , Forst became the chief of landscape, animal and bird painters. On January 1, 1815 , he retired. Forst was active in the production of drawings, engravings and paintings until his death. From 1802 to 1824 , Forst participated in the Berlin Academy exhibitions .
