Johann Lorentisch
Johann Loren table (also Lawrence, * 1610 in Kaisersteinbruch ; † 7. April 1666 in Kaisersteinbruch, Hungary , now Burgenland ) was an Italian master stonemason and sculptor of the Baroque . In the Heiligenkreuz documents the name Lorentisch applies, Laurenti from Carabbia , also Lorenzi , is possible .
Life
Master stonemason Pietro Maino Maderno took on the boy Johann, son of master Mathias Lorentisch, as an apprentice in 1624 . He was acquitted as a journeyman in 1629. He married Catharina Rattin, widow after the journeyman Mathias Ratt, and in 1640 became a master.
Craft regulations 1650
After Mathias Lorentisch died in 1654, his widow Maria handed over the family property to her son Johann. The inventory listed it exactly, there were also debts to be paid, of the remainder (as is common practice) the mother received one half, the other the 3 siblings together. In 1656 his wife Catharina died.
Marriage in St. Stephen's Cathedral in 1661
On January 9, 1661, Johann Lorentisch married Anna Catharina, daughter of the imperial master builder Simone Retacco in St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna. The groom's witnesses were the noble and esteemed master and master Silvestro Carlone , master mason, Francesco della Torre , stonemason. Groomsmen of the bride: Master Carolus Martin Carlone , bricklayer, the artful and well-experienced Mr. Carpoforo Tencalla , painter. With that he had penetrated to the very core of the Italian artists in Vienna.
Church father
With Ambrosius Ferrethi , Johann Lorentisch was appointed church father of the Kaisersteinbruch Church .
Death 1666
On April 7, 1666, Johann Lorentisch died as a wealthy master. The house, including the quarry, large quantities of carved stones, vineyards in Breitenbrunn and Sommerein , all that married widow Anna Catharina the Antonius Pery .
