Johannes Kienast

Johannes Kienast (* 1986 in Halle / Saale ) is a German actor .

Life

Johannes Kienast completed his acting training at the Westphalian Drama School in Bochum from 2008 to 2011/12 . During his studies he received his first theater engagements at the Schauspielhaus Bochum and at the Schauspiel Essen .

From the 2012/13 season until the end of the 2016/17 season, Kienast was a permanent member of the drama ensemble of the Cottbus State Theater . He had great success there 2014-2015 with his portrayal of Kurt Christians in the play Nathan's children by Ulrich Hub , which he docked as a "contradictory figure full of precipices." In the 2016/17 season, Kienast was also back on stage in this role.

Other roles at the Cottbus State Theater included: Mortimer Brewster in Arsen und Spitzenhäubchen (premiere: 2013/14 season), Silvio in The Servant of Two Men (premiere: August 2014), Michael Micha Ehrenreich in Sonnenallee (premiere: January 2015), Jannik in I have shredded Bryan Adams by Oliver Bukowski (premiere: April 2015), Tommy in the children's play Pippi Longstocking (premiere: December 2015) and in particular the title role in Shakespeare's Hamlet (premiere: May 2016). From October 2016, Kienast took over the role of son Heinrich in the Schwank Die spanische Fliege by Arnold and Bach at the Cottbus State Theater .

Johannes Kienast worked as a theater actor with the directors Anselm Weber , Katharina Thalbach (2010; each at the Schauspielhaus Bochum), Markus Dietz , Martina Eitner-Acheampong as well as Mario Holetzeck and Catharina Fillers (each at the Staatstheater Cottbus).

Since 2017 Kienast is at the State Theater Braunschweig committed, where he, among others, as Sir Toby burp in Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare was seen.

Kienast also had a few roles in the cinema and on television. In the television film Neue Vahr Süd (2010; director: Hermine Huntgeburth ) he was seen as a recruit Leppert. He had a supporting role in the movie Heiter bis wolkig (2012); he played Holger, a buddy of the main character Can ( Elyas M'Barek ). He also had a small role in Lars von Trier's film drama Nymphomaniac (2013). In September 2016 he was seen in the ARD television series In allerfreund - The young doctors in a leading role in the episode; He played the shy Oliver Schuster, who, when meeting his dream woman , suffers a fainting attack and unhappily falls into his cactus collection . In the ZDF television film Lotte Jäger und das tote Mädchen , which premiered in September 2016, he had a supporting role as Commissioner Wehlich.

In 2014, he took on the leading role in Hendrik Hölzemann's previously unreleased film Axel the Hero .

Kienast lives in Cottbus and Braunschweig .

Awards

  • In 2009 he received the Special Jury Prize at the Festival International of the Ecoles de Cinéma .
  • In 2010 he won the ensemble prize of the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen for the dance theater piece Circo .
  • In 2011 he received an Excellence Scholarship from the Folkwang University of the Arts .
  • In 2015 he was awarded the Max Grünebaum Prize by the Max Grünebaum Foundation.
