Johannes Loeffler

Johannes Löffler (born November 22, 1924 ) is a former German soccer player and coach. He played a total of 99 games in the GDR major league for BSG Wismut Aue , SC Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt and SC Motor Karl-Marx-Stadt .

Player career

For the 1951/52 season he came to the GDR Oberliga promoted BSG Wismut Aue and made his debut on the first day of the game for his new team. In the 3-2 win against BSG Progress Meerane , he was used by coach Walter Fritzsch over the entire season. In the 1952/53 season he scored his first and only goal in the East German league. In the 2.1 win against BSG activist Brieske-Ost on February 22, 1953, he scored the interim 1-0 lead with a penalty in the 32nd minute. At the end of the season she finished second behind SG Dynamo Dresden, tied on points . Because of the equality of points, a decision game had to decide the championship title. In the decider of the GDR football league in 1952/53 he and his team lost 3-2 against Dresden.

After the season he ended his career.

Coaching career

After his playing career, he returned to BSG Wismut Aue in the 1974/75 season and trained the second team of Wismut Aue in the GDR league for a year . After one season he was replaced by Manfred Fuchs as coach.
