Johannes Wieke

Johannes Wieke (born May 31, 1913 in Leipzig ; † July 20, 1982 in Prerow ) was a German actor .

Life

After completing an apprenticeship in book printer and photolithography, Wieke trained as an actor with Waldemar Staegemann and made his debut on a stage in Rudolstadt in 1937 , followed by an engagement in Elbing until 1944 . After the Second World War , he became acting theater director at the Glauchau Theater in 1949 , moved to the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater in Görlitz as chief dramaturge and director of theater in 1950 , was briefly appointed director of theater in Magdeburg in 1955 and finally appointed director in Görlitz in the same year. Five years later he moved Wieke as an opera director in Dresden , where he as an actor (since 1965 only as an actor) at the State Theater in worked.

In addition to his extensive stage work, Wieke also played in numerous DEFA and DFF film and television productions . In 1960 the character actor for his role as camp elder was Chandler in the television film Naked Among Wolves with the Art Prize of the GDR excellent, played in the following years under renowned film directors like Konrad Wolf , Horst Seemann , Frank Beyer , Günter Reisch and Siegfried Kühn with. He often embodied simple citizens or party officials in contemporary German strips, and later also grandfathers.

In 1973 he received the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.
