John M. Dwyer

John M. Dwyer (born August 25, 1935 in Detroit , Michigan , † September 15, 2018 in Encinitas , California ) was an American production designer .

Life

Dwyer began his career on the film staff in 1966 as a set designer on the sitcom Tammy, the Houseboat Girl . This was followed by engagements in television series such as Laredo , The People from Shiloh Ranch , Columbo and Kojak - Einsatz in Manhattan . He also worked on 38 episodes of the cult series Raumschiff Enterprise , for which he was first nominated for a Primetime Emmy in 1969 . Two more Emmy nominations followed by 1981, and in 1981 he won the award for the miniseries The Gangster Chronicles .
