Johnny Lewis
Jonathan Kendrick "Johnny" Lewis (born October 29, 1983 in Los Angeles , California - † September 26, 2012 ) was an American- Canadian actor . He became known through the television series OC, California and Sons of Anarchy .
Life
Johnny Lewis grew up as the second of three children to Divona and Michael Lewis in his native Los Angeles. He was a problem child in school, so his mother tutored him at home for a while. Afterwards he went to a small private school and finally - at about 14 years old - to an acting school. In Germany he became known through the television series American High - Here the party is rising! , where he played Gilby van Horn , and OC, California , where he played Dennis "Chili" Childress in the third season . In 2004 he was in the film Raise Your Voice (with Hilary Duff ) as Engelbert "Kiwi" Wilson . In the Sons of Anarchy series, he embodies Halfsack Epps . He was in a relationship with the singer Katy Perry from 2005 to 2006 .
On September 26, 2012, Lewis was found dead in the driveway of a Los Angeles mansion. The body of his 81-year-old landlady Catherine Davis and her cat were found in the villa. The police identified Lewis as the culprit. The coroner's report suggests that Lewis escaped from the crime scene by jumping off the balcony. According to the media, Lewis was last seen as mentally unstable and had drug problems.
