Jonas Daniel Gustav Källman (born July 17, 1981 in Växjö ) is a Swedish handball player . He is 2.00 m tall and weighs 100 kg.
Källman, who plays for the Hungarian club Pick Szeged and played for the Swedish national team, is always used as the left winger.
Career
Jonas Källman started playing handball in his hometown. In 2000 he moved to the first division club IFK Skövde HK. There his greatest success only remained in the quarter-finals of the Swedish championship; through the national team, however, Källman played himself in the sights of foreign clubs, so that he was signed by the Spanish top club BM Ciudad Real in 2002 . With this club he won the EHF Champions League three times and the Spanish championship five times. After the licensed team moved from Ciudad Real to Madrid, he played for Atlético Madrid. In 2013 Källman returned to IFK Skövde HK, where he ran up with his younger brother Filip . On January 29, 2014, his move to Pick Szeged was announced. With Szeged he won the EHF European Cup in 2014 , the Hungarian Championship in 2018 and the Hungarian Cup in 2019.
Jonas Källman has made 223 international appearances for the Swedish national team . Until 2012 he never won a medal in international competitions with Sweden; he didn't even qualify for the 2007 World Cup in Germany with Sweden. Because of a heart operation, Jonas Källman did not take part in the European Championship 2012 in Serbia. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London he won the silver medal with the Swedish team and was elected to the " All Star Team ".
