Jordan Poole (born June 19, 1999 in Milwaukee , Wisconsin ) is an American basketball player .

career

As a student, Poole ran for three years at Milwaukee King High School, Wisconsin , then one year at La Lumiere School, Indiana . From 2017 to 2019, he was a member of the University of Michigan college team. In 75 games he achieved an average of 9.4 points and 2.2 rebounds per encounter. In spring 2018 he reached the final of the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship with Michigan as a team-mate of the German Moritz Wagner , but there they lost to Villanova University . He showed himself in his appearances in the NCAA as an accurate distance thrower, but he was attributed to weaknesses in the defense work.

Following the 2018/19 game year, he ended his university days prematurely and announced his move to professional life. In June 2019, the Golden State Warriors secured the rights to Poole in 28th place in the NBA draft proceedings .
