José Adolfo Larregain

José Adolfo Larregain OFM (born April 3, 1966 in Adolfo González Chávez , Province of Buenos Aires , Argentina ) is an Argentine Roman Catholic religious and auxiliary bishop in Corrientes .

Life

José Adolfo Larregain joined the Franciscan Order and received the sacrament of ordination on March 19, 2004 after completing his theological studies .

In addition to working in various Franciscan branches in Argentina, he obtained a degree in pastoral theology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina . Before his appointment as auxiliary bishop, he was most recently guardian of the study house for the Franciscans with temporary profession in the diocese of Merlo-Moreno , parish administrator of the parish Virgen de la Paz in Moreno and provincial definitor of his religious province.

Pope Francis appointed him auxiliary bishop in Corrientes and titular bishop of Mauriana on March 21, 2020 . The Archbishop of Corrientes, Andrés Stanovnik OFMCap , donated him episcopal ordination on June 29 of the same year . Co- consecrators were Stanovnik's predecessor Domingo Salvador Castagna, as well as the Bishop of Goya , Adolfo Ramón Canecín , and the Bishop of Santo Tomé , Gustavo Alejandro Montini .
