José Francisco Versiani Velloso

José Francisco Versiani Velloso , (born May 28, 1919 in Ouro Preto , Minas Gerais , † May 17, 1972 ) was a Brazilian clergyman and bishop of Itumbiara .

Life

José Francisco Versiani Velloso was ordained a priest on October 25, 1942 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on October 27, 1966 as the first bishop of the newly established diocese of Itumbiara . The Archbishop of Mariana , Oscar de Oliveira , donated him episcopal ordination on January 25 of the following year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Sete Lagoas , Daniel Tavares Baeta Neves , and the Bishop of Montes Claros , José Alves de Sà Trindade .
