José Guadalupe Galván Galindo (born August 21, 1941 in Cadereyta de Jiménez , Nuevo León , Mexico ) is Bishop Emeritus of Torreón .

Life

José Guadalupe Galván Galindo received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Monterrey on June 29, 1965 .

On July 8, 1994, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Ciudad Valles . The Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico, Archbishop Girolamo Prigione , donated him episcopal ordination on August 10 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Monterrey, Cardinal Adolfo Antonio Suárez Rivera , and the Bishop Emeritus of Ciudad Valles, Juvencio González Álvarez . On October 12, 2000, John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Torreón.

On September 9, 2017, Pope Francis accepted the resignation from José Guadalupe Galván Galindo's due to reasons of age.
